Yes. Your privacy is important to us. We strictly follow HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of your personal and medical information throughout your care.

There are limited exceptions required by law related to safety concerns, abuse reporting, or court orders, which will be reviewed during your intake process.

Initial psychiatric evaluations are typically 60 minutes, and follow-up appointments are generally 30 minutes. Additional time may be scheduled when clinically appropriate.

Our goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care while allowing adequate time to discuss symptoms, treatment options, and progress.

Yes. We offer secure telehealth appointments for many psychiatric services when clinically appropriate. Patients must be physically located in North Carolina at the time of their visit.

Controlled substances may be prescribed when clinically appropriate after a comprehensive evaluation and ongoing monitoring. Additional documentation, rating scales, urine drug screening, or coordination with other providers may be required.

We provide psychiatric services for children (over 4), adolescents, and adults.

Please bring:

• A photo ID

• Insurance card

• Current medication list

• Relevant medical records (if available)

• Completed intake paperwork

Parents or guardians should bring custody documentation if applicable.

We ask that patients provide at least 24 business hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

We provide supportive counseling as part of medication management visits. Depending on your needs, we may also recommend ongoing psychotherapy with a therapist or counselor.

Response times vary depending on the condition and medication. Some medications may begin helping within days, while others can take several weeks for full benefit. Your provider will discuss expectations and follow-up recommendations during your visit.
